Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Onward!
We are all survivors: terrorist attacks –
disease– death of loved ones – professional upheavals –
relationships.
Life events and ripple effects demand we are fully
present; for ourselves and each other. I’ve
recently facilitated early AM “centering” sessions of
meditation, yoga and empowering dance for “Peak
Potentials, Inc.”, in an “Enlightment
Warrior Training” designed by T. Harv Eker (“Secrets
of a Millionaire Mind"). Waves of positive
energy flowed and permeated the day, reaffirming
the power of these venues.
My 26 year old daughter, living and working in Madrid
walked for 11 days (260 km) on Camino de Santiago. In
addition to being a break from her routine,
she was physically challenged and spiritually
uplifted, feels a large sense of accomplishment and
is better able to cope with life’s events.
Being mindful is often challenging and
enhances productivity. Try this in the early AM for
optimal performance and anytime throughout the day:
- Find a comfortable space without
distractions.
- Notice your breath and focus on it.
When thoughts appear, notice them and allow them to pass
through, like clouds in a windy sky.
- Trust you will remember creative ideas
and solutions (do not write them down).
- Acknowledge what you are grateful for.
- Stretch or do yoga, being mindful of
the breath.
- Exercise.
The following excerpt is a favorite of mine, from “The
Summer Day”, Mary Oliver (House of Light, (1990),

Namaste Shanti (light and peace),
Eileen
I don’t know exactly what
a prayer is.
I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down
Into the grass, how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll
through the fields,
which is what I’ve been doing all day.
Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn’t everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?
